The Autumn term has now finished. Well done to everyone involved with "The Witches of Eastwick", it has been probably one of Dauntsey's biggest productions to date and only happened with the dedication and hard work put in by all the cast, crew and artistic team. It contained the most 'fire' effects of any of our school productions (all safely carried out and fully risk assessed of course). Everyone in the large cast put their all into it every night and helped to make it the success it was. Cast photographs are now available to buy on CD from the Drama office (priced at £15 each) and a selection will soon make it on to the archive pages. It has been a very busy and productive term for the Drama department and are looking forward to our Christmas break!

Merry Christmas to our students (past and present), friends and supporters

Well done to everyone who was in the production of "Alice" which was performed in Annabel's studio this week. A big thank you must go to Mel, the director and our gap-year student, who did superb work with the cast and made excellent use of the space in the Studio. The fact that the last night was packed out and had people turned away shows how well supported we are - and illustrates the need for people to book their tickets in advance!

It has been confirmed that the drama department is to get an additional porta cabin to help ease congestion prior to the building of the new Performing Arts centre. The porta cabin will have a higher then usual ceiling height thus making it possible to stage performances. Drama which has seen a significant increase in student numbers over the years will see the number of classes taught swell to a new high in September.
